Consumer group CHOICE has revealed the results of their latest laundry detergent testing, after putting over 90 products to the test.
CHOICE tests laundry detergents in both front and top loader machines against all kinds of stains, including grass, makeup, chocolate ice-cream, blood and baby food.
"Omo took out the top spot in our front loader testing this year, with their Ultimate Powder receiving a score of 86%," says Mark Serrels, Editorial Director at CHOICE.
"We also tested detergents in top loader machines, which typically do a poorer job of washing clothes, resulting in lower scores for any detergents tested in them. If you do have a top loader, we'd recommended picking up Aldi's Laundrite Laundry Powder which scored first in our top loader testing," says Serrels.
"We also included a few laundry sheets in our testing, which didn't perform particularly well. With more time and development they may improve, but for now we don't think they're a great buy," says Serrels.
